WorldSkills Competition Management and Leadership Training Workshop

The WorldSkills International, WorldSkills Zambia, and the Zambia Information and Communication and Technology (ZICT) College have partnered to conduct a “WorldSkills Competition Management and Leadership Training Workshop” from 19th to 20th July 2018. This is meant to cultivate the human resource pool required to maximize WSI membership benefits for the Zambian industry, learning institutions, and the economy at large. 

Training Workshop Objectives:

a) To equip policy and technical level participants with the knowledge and skills required to organize and manage a national skills competition system linked to WorldSkills International;
b) To explore ideas on creation of a “WorldSkills Africa Regional Skills Competition” as one driver for
Africa’s Agenda 2063; (Ref.: https://au.int/agenda2063/about)

Target Group/Participants (NB. Zambia and the Africa region)

a) Policy makers, Education and Skills Development Experts from industry, Learning institutions, professional bodies as well as provincial or regional development investment promoters;
b) Policy makers and technocrats involved with skills development as a tool for industrialization and job creation.

The Lead trainer will be Mr Simon Bartley – President WorldSkills International and will be accompanied by a team of local and international WorldSkills Competition Experts.

Dates: 19th to 20th July 2018

Venue: ICT Centre of Excellence, Ndola
